Pitch:

The DeLuvena triplets live an idyllic life on a sprawling vineyard: fine clothes, social capital, lavish parties. But Kerick has a secret. He's a Bloodweaver, able to alter anything he can touch. This new magic has gripped the world of Oulorae, bringing uncertainty and division. Danger spreads to Kerick's bucolic village in the form of Breakers, a violent band bent on eliminating Bloodweaving from the world. When Kerick's struggle to stay alive results in the death of his brother, he's forced to flee the only home he's ever known. He has one chance at survival: he must find the Underground, a society of Bloodweavers, before the Breakers find him. However, the Underground is no mere safe haven. They stand at the precipice of an uprising, and the price to join is high and irrevocable.

Meanwhile, Mel, Kerick's sister, loves her quiet life. But when Breakers identify Mel's girlfriend as a Bloodweaver, Mel poses as a weaver herself to keep Ismene safe. She will do anything to achieve this, including forging ties with her abductors. Trapped on a prisoner ship bound for the mainland, Mel positions herself at the right hand of the Breakers' bloodthirsty leader. Here, she discovers a power she never wanted. A power stronger than anything the world has seen. A power that threatens to destroy everything, including her brother, Kerick.
